The six games included in Caltron 6-in-1 (or Myriad 6-in-1 depending on the version you have) are surprisingly playable, if not entirely average rip-offs of superior games.
‘Cosmos Cop’ is a Space Harrier clone with smooth controls and a choppy frame rate; rookies need not apply. ‘Magic Carpet 1001’ is a generic shoot-em-up, based (presumably) on “1001 Arabian Nights.” While it’s cool playing as a dude on a magic carpet, the bow-and-arrow action is slow going. In ‘Balloon Master,’ you shoot spittle at a giant bubble to shrink it into smaller bubbles, then shoot more spittle until all the bubbles disappear. More like Saliva Master.
‘Adam and Eve’ turns the fall of mankind into a poorly developed Balloon Fight clone. Pop the balloons off the snakes backs and vanquish temptation or something. ‘Porter’ is a Soukoban variant where you push boxes from one area to another. Finally, in ‘Bookyman,’ you paint the entire level different colors while avoiding frogs and entertaining a stuffed animal audience.
Thus, Caltron 6-in-1, a bizarre unlicensed buffet that fills you up and leaves you empty at the same time.
